Did you know you can lower your risks of contracting prostate cancer by ejaculating more often?
Sounds strange… right?
Going by the research paper that was presented at the annual meeting (2015) of the American Urological Association, ejaculating more often might lower your chances of getting prostate cancer when you are older.
This is amazing news, considering that the estimated prevalence rate of prostate cancer (according to this report) is 1046 cases per 100,000 men living in Nigeria.
So, What Exactly Is This Thing Called Prostate?
The prostate is a gland that is situated underneath the bladder, facing the rectum. It is a shaped like a walnut and enfolds the urethra (the tube that transports urine and semen through your penis).
The prostate gland is only found in men.
The major job of the prostate is to produce a part of the fluid that forms semen which contains your sperm cells.
What Are The Symptoms And Signs Of Prostate Cancer To Look out For?
Just like women have to watch out for the signs and symptoms of breast cancer as they grow older, we men also have to do the same thing for prostate cancer!
Since the prostate gland wraps around the urethra, the moment it becomes enlarged, it affects urination and ejaculation.
Here are a few of the signs and symptoms to watch out for:
- Increase in how often you urinate especially at night.
- Increased rush in your need to urinate.
- Difficulty to start and also end urinating.
- Inability to even start urinating or a weak flow of urine.
- When urinating, the flow of urine gets cut short by a burning or painful sensation.
- The sensations that your bladder has not been completely emptied even after you have finished urinating.
- Blood in your urine or semen or/and a painful sensation when you are ejaculating.
Ejaculating More Often Could Actually Reduce Your Risks Of Prostate Cancer
According to the author of this promising -> research study – Jennifer Rider, ScD, MPH (who is an epidemiologist and based at the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts in the United States) says that ejaculating more frequently may help reduce your chances of prostate cancer.
This particular study is actually an updated version of a previous research study that was published way back in 2004 in the Journal of American Medical Association.
The study had the highest amount of participants ever and it includes special information about how ejaculation affects prostate health.
Way back in 1992, when some men were recruited for a study, the participants were requested to state the average amount of times that they ejaculated (from sexual intercourse, masturbation, and nocturnal emissions) when they were in these age brackets: 20 – 29 years and 40 – 49 years and also how often they ejaculated in the previous year that just passed.
The researchers now calculated a lifetime average based on the information that they received from the men that participated in the study.
After adjusting for extreme and confusing cases, the researchers discovered that the chances of getting prostate cancer is 20% lesser in men that ejaculated more than 21 times in a month than the men that ejaculated between 4 and 7 times each month.
The 20% reduction in risk was noticed at age groups 20 – 29 years and 40 – 49 years and also for the lifetime average.
The most surprising statistic that the researchers discovered was that the men at ages 40 – 49 years old which made up about 38% of the study stated that they were only ejaculating about 8 – 12 times each month.
This is a lot less than the required 21 times a month that is need to get the prostate health benefits. It was only 8.8% of the men that were in the age range of 40 – 49 years that reported that they were ejaculating more than 21 times in a month.
If you want to lower your risks of getting prostate cancer, make sure you do your best to ejaculate at least 21 times every month starting from now.
Your sex sessions with your woman guarantee you some ejaculations per month. And you can meet up the 21 ejaculations per month requirement by ejaculating at the end of your penis exercise sessions.
Doing this could actually save your life when you are much older.
