I already have an article that gives enough reason why penis enlargement surgery is a bad idea especially in Nigeria where our healthcare system has some serious flaws. However, this time I am backing up my opinion with facts – actual research studies comparing penis extenders (also known as traction devices) with penis enlargement surgery.
Marco Ordera and Paolo Gontero are urological researchers that are based in the University of Turin, Italy who studied the results of non-surgical and surgical penis enlargement procedure studies. Half of the research studies that they reviewed were about non-surgical penis enlargement methods, while the other half involved penis enlargement surgery.
The result of the review study concluded that non-surgical penis enlargement techniques give better results than surgery… penis extenders lead the gainers when it comes non-surgical penis enlargement.
Penis Surgery Versus Penis Extender
The researchers Marco Ordera and Paolo Gontero examined research studies that involved:
- 109 men who made use of non-surgical methods of penis enlargement
- 121 men who had undergone penis enlargement surgery
The researchers observed that the group of men that had undergone penis enlargement had high rates of surgery complications that were unacceptable for other types of surgery. While the men that used non-surgical methods of penis enlargement achieved decent amount of success without complications.
The researchers highlighted two studies that they felt were particularly fascinating – the participants of these studies made use of a penis extender as their penis enlargement technique. A penis extender is also called traction device and it is worn on the penis for 2 – 5 hours so that it stretches the penis consistently.
In the first “penis extender” study, the participants wore the extender for 4 – 6 hours a day for 4 months in total. While in the second study, the participants wore the penis extender for a minimum of 4 hours every day also for 6 months.
Now the results were that the participants in the first study experienced an average increase of 0.7 inches in their flaccid (soft) penis length, while the men in the second study experienced and average increase of 0.9 inches in flaccid (soft) penis length and 0.67 inches in their erect penis length.
These men increased their penis size without having to face the risks and complications that come with penis enlargement surgery.
The Associated Risks of Penis Enlargement Surgery
Asides from the disappointing reality that penis enlargement surgery doesn’t always give men the penis size that they were expecting, this method of penis enlargement is very expensive. And there are lot of dangerous complications that can occur during and after this surgery. Some of them include:
- Infections after surgery
- Nerve and tissue damage
- Risks and side effects of anaesthesia
- Swelling of the penis
- Urethra damage
- Down-pointing and weaker erection
- Reduced sensitivity of the penis
- Reduce libido
- Erectile dysfunction
Now with all these dangerous complications that you can get if you undergo penis enlargement surgery, you are better going for non-surgical methods of penis enlargement like penis extenders or penis exercises. It is now obvious why the researchers at the University of Turin concluded that using penis extenders is a better option than surgery for penis enlargement.
Quality penis extenders are quite expensive for most Nigerian men – they costs as much as $300. The fact is that they work but let us be realistic here, how many Nigerian guys can afford to buy a penis device that costs $300?
Using penis exercises is another non-surgical method of penis enlargement that works as well as penis extenders. I am a testimony to the fact that penis exercises can give you a bigger penis – I used these exercises to enlarge my penis way back in 2008 when I was doing my NYSC and I had more than enough free time on my hands.
